Carcaghjolu Biancu

This variety is traditionally grown in southern Corsica, notably around the Sartène region.

It produces wines that are pale yellow in colour with hints of green and low potential alcohol. There is high acidity and delicate flavours and aromas. Its chemico-physical characteristics and neutral profile means this variety can be used to lower the overall alcohol and increase the acidity in a blend.
